It was built to serve as a clan house for the Khoo family for two centuries. Khoo Kongsi has a meeting hall, opera stage, shops, educational facilities, and a temple. It is a great slice of history viewed through the prison of a large clan. It is considered the most magnificent clan house in the area. It is open for a small fee of RM10 to anyone wishing to enjoy the beauty of the house.

we really enjoyed the guided tour, learned a lot about the mansion and its fascinating history. highly recommend taking the afternoon tea option, it’s not expensive and you come away with full stomach like we did.
