Hotel Penaga had been converted from a Nonya baba house with tinted windows and ceiling fans which is a growing trend for Penang downtown hotels. It is a short walk from the best parts of the heritage areas and feels a little far from the main tourist action because of the busy streets and commercial area in which it sits.
